Like invisible threads or warps on a loom, we aim to support the work of Indigenous, local and frontline community organisations to protect nature, secure rights and fight climate change.
We focus on facilitating the necessary connections, conditions and opportunities to ease, speed and sustain processes led by Indigenous and local communities organisations and their allies, most particularly those led by women and youth, to advance social, territorial and environmental justice.
We organise territorial exchanges and learning trips on issues like land, marine and resource governance, policies, the climate and biodiversity agenda, institutional strengthening, youth and women’s rights and initiatives, and more. We are also involved in facilitating training and workshops, and provide advice and mentorship to leaders and technical teams on developing political capacities and harnessing their already developed skills and knowledge, when called upon. We support organisations to overcome challenges in their strategic planning, team development, working plans and communication agendas. Finally, we support their fundraising efforts and offer institutional fiscal sponsorship if needed.
Through facilitating both physical and online exchanges and gatherings, which are well-supported by robust language and interpretation solutions, we encourage cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration across continents. Furthermore, by providing both logistical, strategic and facilitation support to organise meetings and events, we take the burden away from technical teams within organisations, and ensure that these meetings reach their intended goals. We also support the development of alliances and the creation of movements by using new and established networks to bridge organisations and catalyse partnerships.
We create and share content that supports and leverages the messaging of territorial organisations and bring it to the relevant fora, including the global arena. We also provide translations of key documents into several languages, so partner organisations can meet their objectives and increase their outreach. Furthermore, we support and accompany delegations at international events, taking care of their travel needs, supporting multilingual communications and ensuring that their goals are met at such events. We are also keenly skilled at organising solidarity events, such as protests, bringing together civil-society, media and decision-makers to speak out on a common cause.

Theory of change
Healthy ecosystems, such as forests, fresh waters and oceans, are fundamental for all humanity, and they are also home and livelihood for Indigenous, local and frontline communities. However, the current world economic model and the climate crisis threaten the sustainability of ecosystems and life.
These communities come together within organisations that represent their interests and advocate for their rights. Despite this, they continue to lack legal security over these rights, as well as agency over territories and resources. This jeopardises their lives, cultures and the natural spaces in which they live, and upon which all humanity depends, most particularly within the context of the current environmental and global climate crisis.
We believe that focusing on strengthening Indigenous Peoples, local and and frontline community organisations, their networks and advocacy agendas, is one of the most powerful solutions to the interconnected socio-ecological global crises.
Our Theory of Change has four desired outcomes: stronger and more resilient organisations and networks; enhanced collaboration, solidarity and knowledge sharing; inclusive and equitable leadership; and greater influence and visibility for organisations.
In the long term we believe that our work will contribute to mitigating climate change, protecting ecosystems, advancing social justice and ensuring rights for people and communities.
We believe if we support community and Indigenous technical teams and leaders, these will be more skilled, representative and capable of creating greater positive impacts. We believe a strong organisation usually has cohesive strategies, agendas and working plans; improvisation capacities; skilled technical teams and leaders; resilient management practices; financial resources; and connections with other organisations, funders and decision-makers.
We believe if we support learning, exchanges and networking for organisations, leaders and their partners, we are contributing to building more skilled, solid and powerful movements to catalyse shifts in power.
We believe if we support youth and women leaders to meet their full potential, organisations will be more inclusive, equitable and resilient.
We believe if we amplify advocacy voices, the visibility of messages, and sustainable community practices and initiatives, we can inspire change, increase recognition, influence decision-makers, and improve the funding flow for local communities and their organisations.
We believe that empowered, resilient, connected, inclusive and visible organisations and networks will drive greater change, and be more successful in developing plans and meeting their goals of protecting ecosystems and fighting climate change.
As we approach the point of no return in most of the world’s ecosystems, the fastest path towards strengthening these organisations involves trustworthy partners who are able to provide generous opportunities, flexible solutions, close and continuous support, and adapting quickly to complex challenges.
